Service Awards Criteria
Years of service for ASI, Cal Poly Partners, and State employees are calculated by their respective Human Resources office. Each calculation is based on years of service through the end of the previous calendar (not academic) year (for example, 2026 Annual Service awards are based on service through December 31, 2025).
Our current policy for retirees who are achieving their 25, 30, 35, 40 or greater years of service award, is to include those on the eligibility list who:
- Retire after July 1st AND
- Would have reached their service award date had they continued employment through the rest of the year.
